Walk Like A NIETZSCHEAN Man - Chapter #67

Free Enterprise - Walk Like A NIETZSCHEAN Man  -  Chapter #66

RADM Tyr Anasazi was going to approach this the only way he knew how. Like a military excersize. He was going to use the oft used plan of attack called “divide and conquer”.

Obviously, when all three wives stood together against him, it was impossible for him to approach them. But, with an individual assault, they would brought down one by one.

After careful study, Tyr knew the strengths and weaknesses of each, and he planned to take advantage of it to the fullest extent.

Ten minutes earlier Tyr had stopped by Quicksilver to pick up the rings. Garrett and Quan had presented him with stunning replicas of the Double Helix in ring form. They were well worth the price he paid for them. Garrett had them individually boxed and topped with a red bow. His Intergalactic Express Card came to the rescue. . . . . .

He then went back to his “home away from home”, got cleaned up, dressed in a pair of comfy jeans, t-shirt and moccasins, selected one of the three boxes, picked up a food keeper and headed for the Quad.

This time, Tyr had no problem getting in. Since he alerted his wives of his eminent return, Amanda had Monique disable the “lockout” code.

The Anasazi Quad was situated somewhat like a collage dorm. There were five separate suites in it. Each suite had a small sitting room, a tiny kitchenette, and a nice bedroom and bath. Outside there was a huge living room, full kitchen and bath.

Being that she was his senior wife, Tyr headed for Tamara's suite first. He tapped the buzzer once.

“Come.” her voice said. Tyr stepped in when the doors opened and walked into a dark sitting room. All was dark except for one large Vulcan mediation candle, which sat and burned on the sitting room table. Tyr smiled to himself as he recognized the scent. Patchuly.

Tamara sat in semi lotus position on the sofa in front of the candle. All Tyr could see was her face and torso.

“Tam?” he asked. He was getting an inkling this was not going right.

“One never knows with women. They change with the direction of the wind.” Barbarossa would always warn him.

“Why do they change like that, Father?” a young Tyr would ask.

“Hormone imbalances.” Barbarossa would reply cryptically. Not quite as familiar with Vulcan physiology as he should be, Tyr wondered which hormone could be affecting Tamara.

“Why the EMH, Tyr?” she asked coldly.

“Oops.” Tyr thought. He was waiting until later to broach that subject. Apparently Deep Space Ten's “Moccasin Telegraph” had gotten to her first.

“Tam . . . . . . .” Tyr started.

“Don't Tam me. Why? Why did you refuse to take me but yet took a holographic replica of me? What was that all about?” she asked, without taking a breath. It was amazing how a woman ( *who was not a Nietzschean ) was capable of doing that.

“Tamara. The environment within the Orion stronghold was filled with Tycelen gas which is deadly to all humanoid beings except Nietzscheans. . . . . “ he started.

“And . . . . .?” she interrupted.

“I needed to bring along medical personnel who would not be affected by the gas, and who was capable of treating races other than Humans and Nietzscheans.” Tyr finished.

As it turns out, in addition to the Teleborian women, there were Andorians, Cardassians, Bajorans, Klingons, Vulcans and Trill being held as prisoners. Some were sick and injured and Ada had been very instrumental in administering expert medical care.

“That still does not explain her appearance, Tyr. Why does she look just like me?” Tamara asked.

“I wanted the last thing for Ghann to see before I ended his miserable life, was you and I, together.” Tyr replied. Tamara stayed silent for the next five minutes.

Tyr privately wondered if he had said the wrong thing.

“It could not have been, because I told her the truth.” he thought.

“Please leave, Tyr.” she whispered.

“Huh?” Tyr asked. He'd heard but wanted to verify.

“You heard me, Tyr. I happen to know Nietzschean hearing is superlative, so I'm not going to repeat myself.” Tamara said.

“As you wish, My Lady.” Tyr replied, as he bowed to his senior wife. He carefully placed the food keeper on the coffee table and placed the ring box next to it. Then turned towards the door.

“I will call you when I'm ready, Tyr.” she whispered. He then took his leave.

“What is that term Dylan always uses? Oh yes. Strike One!” Tyr thought sourly, as he walked towards the lift.

Five minutes after Tyr left, Tamara was still staring at the closed doors. It was the smell of freshly cooked Lasagne that brought her out of it. Reminding her that she was starving.

She sat forward and reached for the food keeper and noticed the ring box.

Torn between the need to eat and the need to find out what was in the gift box, Tamara hesitated. The Box won out. Seconds later she called up the lights, took the bow off and opened the box.

Her heart melted at the sight of the ring, which was a perfect sterling silver replica of her Double Helix. She slipped the ring on her wedding ring finger, and admired it in all possible angles.

Minutes later, while she ate, Tamara started planning for her soon to come second meeting with Tyr.

NOTE TO READERS *Nietzscheans are capable not breathing for up to 15 minutes without suffering the obvious side affect . . . . . death.
