The Theater - Chapter #87

Free Enterprise  -   The Theater  -  Chapter #88

Much later on the group and an early dinner and prepared to go out to the theater. When they all met in the living room and everyone was dressed in their best.

Obviously Tamara, Xena and Amanda had not only taken Desi in, but taken her shopping as well. They were all wearing the same classy styled black dress. It was also obvious that the hairstyles, nails and makeup were compliments of Xena.

Victoria's had two handmaidens to assist her, and she was dressed to the hilt.

Tyr made sure his father was properly dressed in his Nietzschean best, which included his circlet and golden bone blade gauntlets. While Tyr was resplendent in his Starfleet Class A uniform.

Even Snowball was dressed to impress. She had been outfitted with a pink rhinestone harness and leash. As per city ordinances, all “Service Animals” had to be leashed within the confines of the theater. Snowball bore up under her new trappings like a queen.

It was this party which took on of Barbarossa's private air cars to the Aurora theater. Upon their arrival the party was personally met and escorted to the Arch Duke's reserved box by none other than the theater's owner.

Ten minutes later, the house lights went down and the performance of Othello began.

Some hours later back at home, the group crowded into the living room. All had redressed in comfortable clothing, and sat around discussing the various aspects of the play. The strengths and weakness of actors and actresses were discussed over and over until one by one folks excused themselves for the night. Only Barbarossa, Victoria and Tyr were left.

“I think it's high time I put these old bones to bed.” Barbarossa announced.

“I think so too.” Victoria replied, as she affectionately pat his right hand. He stood with the assistance of Tyr, and they both followed closely as he tottered to his bedroom.

Once there they both prepared and helped Barbarossa into bed. Tyr retreated into a darkened corner, while Victoria and her consort murmured sweet nothings to each other. Snowball got several good night strokes, Tyr got a hug and kiss on the cheek, then she was gone.

“Good night, Tyr.” Barbarossa said.

“Good night, Father.” Tyr replied.

“There's no need to be so formal, Nudie.” Barbarossa quipped.

“Dad! Must you?” Tyr asked, exasperated.

“Just testing. Good night.” Barbarossa said, as he smiled and his eyes lit up. Tyr smiled knowingly in return.

Minutes later The Arch Duke was asleep. Tyr made doubly sure everything was alright. He then stretched himself out on a cot which had been set up next to his Father's bed. Soon he was fast asleep also.

NOTE TO READERS: I'm sorry this is such a short chapter, but it is a set up for a longer one to come.
