Don't Worry! - Chapter 38

NOTE TO READERS: I had to use a little artistic license in this chapter. Those of you who are familiar with "Drom" ( Andromeda ) cannon will see it right away. For the others, ignorance is bliss. . . . . .

Also, sorry for such a short chapter. I'm trying to set up something way in advance. It's a case of me seeing the entire story before my eyes, but for the sake of my readers, I must write chapters. You know?

Free Enterprise  -  Don't Worry! - Chapter 38

When Tyr returned to his quarters all was quiet. That was until he was attacked by Tamara. How could he have forgotten that she was like the crazy cat who waited behind the door and in the dark for it's owner to come home and pounce?

He encircled her in his arms as she held his head between her hands and stared into his eyes. He felt her quiet presence unfurl like a flower in his mind. In return, she gave him a mental cuddle.

“What worries you, Babe? ” she asked as she sensed his uneasiness. So he told her about Khan's prediction.

“Is that so bad, Tyr? I thought that's what all Nietzschean men strive for. Many wives and many children to leave a legacy.” Tamara thought back.

“I am concerned for both Xena and you. I do not wish to bring someone one in who will destroy the cohesion of our fledgling relationship.” Tyr replied mentally.

“If anything does happen, we will deal with it.” Tamara replied. This often happened with the top ranking wives within a Nietzschean household. They formed a pact to be the enforcers of said relationship and kept things in order. “Did Khan mention anything about something bad happening?” she continued.

“No he did not. Only that I am blessed and should be happy.” Tyr replied.

“Then don't worry, be happy.” Tamara said as she smiled. She then began to sing:

Here is a little song I wrote
You might want to sing it note for note
Don't worry be happy
In every life we have some trouble
When you worry you make it double
Don't worry, be happy......

Ain't got no place to lay your head
Somebody came and took your bed
Don't worry, be happy
The land lord say your rent is late
He may have to litigate
Don't worry, be happy

Look at me I am happy
Don't worry, be happy
Here I give you my phone number
When you worry call me
I make you happy
Don't worry, be happy

Ain't got no cash, ain't got no style
Ain't got not girl to make you smile
But don't worry be happy
Cause when you worry
Your face will frown
And that will bring everybody down
So don't worry, be happy (now).....

There is this little song I wrote
I hope you learn it note for note
Like good little children
Don't worry, be happy
Listen to what I say
In your life expect some trouble
But when you worry
You make it double
Don't worry, be happy......
Don't worry don't do it, be happy
Put a smile on your face
Don't bring everybody down like this
Don't worry, it will soon past
Whatever it is
Don't worry, be happy

“I know it's a very silly little ditty, and it's extremely dated. But my Mom used to sing it to me when I was down and it always cheered me up. I just wanted to put a smile on your face. You know you are very sexy and handsome when you smile, don't you?” Tamara said.

However, Tyr was not only smiling because of the song, but he enjoyed hearing her sing. And for now, he was at peace.

Note To Readers: The song is: “Don't Worry, Be Happy” From the Movie "Cocktails" Performed by Bobby McFerrin.
