Discoveries - Chapter #71

Free Enterprise  -  Discoveries  -  Chapter #71

Once The Insurrection was safely on her way to Pinnacle, Tyr was able to rest. In fact, Tyr and his wives were all fast asleep in the same bed. Suddenly Tyr awakened, snatched and flung something at the door, accompanied by three simultaneous phasers power ups. The knife Tyr had thrown had buried itself in the bulkhead next to the door. Solon stood stock still because his shirt was pinned by said knife to said bulkhead.

“What the ( Nietzschean swear word of your choice ) are you doing here on my ship, and in my quarters?” Tyr rumbled dangerously as he got right up into Solon's face. In typical Vulcan style, Solon raised one eyebrow. He didn't know who was more dangerous. The Nietzschean or his three wives who currently had hot phasers pointing at him.

“I must speak to you about the Vulcans.” Solon replied.

“The Vulcans. You speak as if you are not one yourself.” Tyr said. He'd noticed Vulcans had a strange way of disassociating themselves from themselves when some nastiness involving their race was afoot.

“Why now?” he continued.

“I have attempted on numerous occasions to contact you but was prevented. . . . . . .” Solon started. Tyr grunted. He knew that Xena had put the Kabosh on Solon trying to meet him numerous times. The man was an annoyance to the ninth degree!

“I will meet with you in my Ready Room in approximately three and a half hours.” Tyr said, as he turned away.

“But, Sir. . . .” Solon started.

“You waited this long, you can afford to wait some more.” Tyr replied, as Tamara, Xena and Amanda powered down their phasers.

Seeing that he was not going to get anywhere else with the Nietzschean, Solon tore his shirt loose and took his leave. Tamara walked up to the spot where Tyr's knife was still embedded in the bulkhead.

“I guess I'd better call the Quartermaster for this.” she said, as she yanked out the knife, and looked at the nasty gash left in the bulkhead.

“I should've nicknamed him Destructo.” Amanda thought and sighed.

NOTE TO READERS: Sorry for such a short chapter this time around. There is definitely more on the way!
